the kids collecting eggs...
a couple cute pictures of little heidi...
Just checking in to say hi! We still have not gone through all of our pictures from this summer and I have yet to get any printed! I am falling behind and I think paul gave up on trying to get some printed... looks like I have a chore to get done so we can actually look at an album of our summer instead of trying to see them on the computer...

Anyways, we are all doing good here. I have been going to school for a little bit on fridays with emalee to help out her teacher. Last friday they built a scarecrow and we didn't get it finished so me and emalee got to stay after school and glue the hair and hat on. She was pumped that we got to stay all by ourselves with her teacher!

Emalee lost her first tooth yesterday. It has been loose for a while and she would never let us touch it, but yesterday I barely even grabbed it and it came out. She was giggling all day. she wrote a note to the tooth fairy, but we got too late a start this morning for her to remember to check her pillow to see if the tooth fairy came. This morning I dropped her off at school and I seen her skip right up to the other kinder. teacher and proudly showed her!

I had my ultrasound a couple weeks ago, and of course that is always fun to go and take a peek at baby. everythings looking good, I am feeling great.

well thats about it over here... how is everyone else doing?

Hi, Everyone. Summer has gone by so fast. It was great to have Paul and Kendra and family here this summer. Shiela and Ed and family were a lot of fun also. It was too quiet when they all left.
We're hoping to come up north about the first weekend in October. Hope to see everyone then.

Life at the beach

My new goal is to do a fun family activity at least one time per month. Shawn and I both get busy with work, etc. and I want to make sure Heidi has memories when she gets older and that she remembers who her parent's are :)
This weekend, we went to Two Harbors for the night Friday night and then did some sight seeing on Saturday... Shawn went to an auction and Heidi and I did some more fun things.. but he was on the beach for a while :)

Labor Day I took Heidi to Park Point in Duluth. She loved it. She would giggle at the waves :) Based on this picture, she put a lot of thought into it!

but had fun :)

SUMMER FUN

Here are some fun summer pics from our trip. We left Dan and Maurys at 9:30 a.m July 27th, stayed the first night in Wall SD, went from their to Paul Randalls in Wright WY for afternoon and dinner. Then 85 more miles to Douglass WY to Vonadas, stayed there two nights. We went to a natural bridge with Jannel and kids and looked for some army fort but got lost so went back for dinner. Thursday drove to Albuquerque then on home Friday to 113 degree weather. A/C breaker was tripped and house was well over 100 degrees inside. P.L.

all is well over here.

We will be having our baby around feb. 20th.

Family Reunion

Cute Aunts

$100 to the first person who can name all your relatives in this picture in 10 minutes :) I'm kidding about the money, but would love to hear someone name everyone. And no, "someone's daughter, someone's granddaughter" does not count!

Look who is 3 months old....

She continues to be a happy and alert little girl
She loves her toys now!

And her little hands have learned to grab EVERYTHING!

farm life

Our yard is becoming a zoo!The goose, tom turkey, and male duck have bonded while the female turkeys and female ducks have been laying on eggs or carrying for their young.
She has roughly 14 ducklings. Another duck has several, but not sure how many are left.

This turkey was trying to lay on eggs, but we had pulled them for the incubator. Shawn put chicken eggs under her and she hatched them. She didn't do a great job at caring for them, so we had to take the last few remaining from her.
This weekend, our last pregnant cow had her calf. In about a month, we are renting a bull again. Shawn is currently working on fencing and hoping to get more pasture as we seem to need it BADLY!
This weekend, we also had 2 of the 3 pigs give birth. I'm not sure how pigs haven't become extinct based on how the mothers care for the little piglets. They have killed a few already - they stand on them, lay on them..... We currently have 15 piglets remaining and another pig is due anytime now!
In the garage, we have a tub with baby quayle, pheasant, chickens, turkeys, and ducks. Outside in a cage we have baby geese and ducks. Running around we have 2 ducks with their babies. It is really a ZOO at our house - and we LOVE IT!

Our smiley little girl :)

With Great Uncle Walter - he said to keep the picture so I can tell her all about the "old man in the photo" when she gets older. He told me he doesn't believe he will live to see her 5th birthday.

More of Heidi

Visitors.... Dave is happy to be photographed with our little princess....

Uncle Randy is going to spoil our little girl (fine by her parents and her)....

Randy brought her a coin bank. He is intstructing her on how to hit up all her aunts and uncles for change....
Her Auntie Liz came to visit and was told to bring a pocket of change. She brought a whole jar and we have to empty the coin bank already to make room for the change she is bound to get from others. My nephew Tristan enjoyed putting the money in the bank and hearing the tractor sound. He would say that he can put it in and the "pennies are for Heidi".
