Camping

This past weekend we went camping with our trailer and it was super nice! The weekend was fun, but it poured buckets all night saturday night! It sprinkled off and on saturday but we figured it would quit. but it never did it just got harder as the night went on. So needless to say we had 13 people sleeping in our trailer. Quite the experience for us. Now paul says we are ready for any condition! It poured, super windy and even had some hail!! So we left right away sunday morning, packed up in the rain, and headed home. It is supposed to only be be a 3 1/2 hour drive, but the main highway off the rim back to town was completely shut down because a tanker exploded, so we went a round about way to the other main freeway and that was completely backed up because a fatality. So we moved about a mile every half hour!! So that drive turned into an 8 hour trip!! oh well we had fun anyways even with bad weather and bad traffic!
thats it for now

Life at our house

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. Life here has been busy.

Shawn is busy with work. He puts in a day at one job site, comes home for 10 minutes and off to the next job site until 9PM or later. It's busy trying to get all the jobs he has to do done.
Over Labor Day weekend, I went to Seattle - Shawn stayed home and worked. My nephew Eric got married. I was able to see some sights and am anxious to get back there again. I got in Thursday night, the wedding was Friday night and left early Monday AM. Did a lot in the short amount of time we were there.

Got to see the water:

Took the ferry to Whidby Island - it's gorgeous!

Went to Deception Pass in order to try conquer my fear of heights. Didn't work, but it was awesome!

the newlyweds: Eric and Rosella

I have been busy with the volunteering stuff I've been doing for Horizons and the Kaleva Ladies. At night, I obsess about coyotes. We had a coyote get one of my baby goats (born the beginning of August) and one of our geese. I'm obsessed with trying to find it again to shoot it. Haven't been able to yet. It is rainy or foggy every night. I know it will be back again :(
Did a day trip down to the cities last Sunday for Eric and Rosie's MN reception. Didn't get to visit anyone as it was strictly there and back. I have to head down to Farmington next weekend for Missi's bridal shower - Ivan's fiancee. Then October 13th, we will be down in the cities for the weekend - my brother Ivan gets married on Saturday and there will be a 70th birthday party for my dad on Sunday. Hope to see some of you as well.
We have a new tenant at our house - my niece Denise moved in. She is going to school in Duluth for dental assistant. She is also working, but mostly days so she is home most evenings. It's interesting trying to get used to having someone live with us again. She is a lot of fun!
That's it from our "neck of the woods".

Helloooooo!!!!!

Does anybody look at this anymore???? I got the password and all and now nobody puts any news on here. Just to let you know, Mauri is fine, Dan is fine, Jay is fine, and Jim is fine. The cats are also fine. We went to Mark and Pam's cabin last weekend and went 4 wheelin', which is fun, but my old body gets mighty sore from riding. Hope everybody is ok.

Love to all,
Dan and Mauri
